Regions is proud to offer the Regions Riding Forward Scholarship Essay Contest. Write a 500-word essay about an African American who has inspired you and you could win one of twenty five $5,000 Scholarships. Diverse Power Washington Youth Tour. Diverse Power will sponsor two local high school students on all expense paid trip to Washington, D.C. The two students, along with other participants from around the state, will begin the tour on June 14, 2012 and will conclude the tour with their arrival back in Atlanta on June 21, 2012. The students will tour the Capitol of our nation, as well as meet other high school students from around the country. Deadline: February 24, 2012

Carroll EMC -Washington Youth Tour – Students in grades 9-12 Interested in a free trip to Washington DC to learn about electric co-ops and their Nation’s history.

The Georgia Fire Sprinkler Association awards scholarships annually in the amount of $1500$1000, and$750 to high school seniors through an essay writing contest.

The Music Department at the University of West Georgia invites musicians to the Destination: Music Monday, February 20, 2012. It will be a day of musical activities for prospective music majors.  Auditions for admission and scholarships will happen on this day. 

Southern Union State Community College – Interviews for Performing Arts Scholarships are scheduled for Monday and Tuesday, March 12 and 13, 2012. Scholarships are available in Dance, Music, Theatre, and Technical Support (sound and lighting).

GE-REAGAN FOUNDATION  SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM – The national program awards college scholarships to high school seniors who embody the characteristics of President Ronald Reagan at school, in the community, in the workplace, and at home. We are looking for students with: Leadership, Drive, Integrity, and Citizenship. Recipients receive $10, 000 renewable scholarships –up to $40,000 per student.
